S/L. Tom Stride makes an emergency landing in a Firefly FR.1, 280/N (MB 501). A coolant leak made him almost blind. Over the 1st barrier and nose into 2nd barrier, minus ash bomb, undercarriage and rocket rails. 12th July 1946, HMS. Vengeance.
